Partnerships are Key to the Success of Hickory’s Brand

many non-profit and government organizations, schools, civic
groups, festivals, music and even more over the last year,
and all of us working together makes our community
stronger.

“Collaboration is the key for a successful brand, and with the help of community partners, Hickory’s brand is being noticed locally and beyond,” said City of Hickory Communications Director and Brand Manager Mandy Pitts. “We continue to keep the momentum going and all efforts help the community attract people and businesses.”

The spring/early summer music series under The Sails on the Square has ended, but will be back on Fridays in September. Drum Circles also continue until September.

More events and programs can be held under the Sails on the Square, for example, Rotarian Idol winners performed on Monday nights in June during the Downtown Hickory Farmers Market. If any non-profit or school would like to organize an event and it fits the brand, more information is available on www.hickorync.gov under Departments, go to the Office of Communications page.

Brand culture standards include events centered on health, wellness, arts and culture, creativity, educational, craftsmanship- focused, community spirit-focused, and family-focused.
